A violin is made

Each violin that I make can take around 100 hours of work. Made to the standards of my forebears, materials are carefully selected and each violin takes on its own character as it is created.

"I never know exactly how each violin is going to sound until it is finished. Every one is unique, with a character of its own, and depends upon all the elements coming together from the wood - selected for its quality – to the finishing touches of the strings, fittings and set up".
